Adopt,by motion,the resolution acknowledging contributions from the Elk River Ministerial
Association.
Background/Discussion
The Parks and Recreation Department received a $1,757.92 contribution from the Elk River Ministerial
Association with the intent it be used for park improvements.
Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 465.03, resolutions acknowledging contributions must be adopted by a
two-thirds majority vote.
Financial Impact
The Elk River Ministerial Association donated$1,757.92 to the City of Elk River.

Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
Resolution 14-
A Resolution of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community;and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $1,757.92 donation from the Elk River
Ministerial Association with the intent it be used by the Parks and Recreation Department
for park improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council,by at least four-fifths
vote,to acknowledge the support and commend the Elk River Ministerial Association for
their donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
, and upon vote being taken thereon,the following voted in favor thereof-

resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
