Staff Update
DISCUSSION:
• Had three new services.
• Continue working on changing out our overhead cutouts and fuses. This process includes
checking padmount transformers and padmount switch gear to make sure nothing there
are no leaks, the proper tags are in place, the map book matches the tags, and all the
warning stickers are on the outside.
• Finished tree trimming for the year.
• Continue working on collecting data with the GPS for our ArcView maps as time
permits.
• Started rebuilding Baldwin Ave and Line Ave by replacing rear lot line overhead with
front lot line underground.
• Working on Wildflowers Meadows Addition in Otsego. This project started last fall,but
due to frost we had to wait until now to continue with the project.
• We are in the process of counting our security and street lights out in the field.
Throughout this process we'll be working with office staff to verify that the correct
amounts, and type of lights, are being billed for.
• Hired Aaron White for the Apprentice Lineworker position we had open due to Matt
Oeffling leaving. Aaron will be starting on June 9th.
• We received our Vermeer 550 plow and the Vermeer Vactron. The Vermeer 550 is used
to plow in our secondary services and the Vactron is used to help locate underground
facilities and assists in bore rig operation. These were both budgeted pieces of equipment.
