SUBJECT: Landscaping— Oak Savannah Park
Request
The Commission requested that the landscaping along the property line at Oak Savannah
Park be discussed further at the February meeting.

Analysis
At the October meeting,two residents spoke regarding the need for additional buffering and
screening along the common property line of Oak Savannah Park with the adjacent
residential properties. As can be seen in the digital photographs, there are gaps in the
screening that allows visual intrusion from the park to the adjacent residential properties.
Staff can pursue additional plantings of evergreens and/or shrubs such as hazelnut or
dogwood,which will achieve a height to provide screening,specifically during the summer
when residents are most likely to be enjoying their backyards.
Recommendation
Staff requests further direction from the Commission regarding additional landscaping for
Oak Savannah Park.
