SUBJECT: Hillside City Park Improvements
Staff has been meeting internally,as well as with members of Minnesota BLAST regarding
improvements to Hillside City Park for 2002.
We propose the following improvements to Hillside City Park:
•
1. Tree removal and expansion of the parking area at the front of the park.
2. Installation of a small picnic area adjacent to the parking lot.
3. Installation of a sign/kiosk near the park entrance.
Staff will be working on a larger master plan for installation of a playground and the timing
of the removal of the compost site within the center of the park. This will be in conjunction
with improvements to be completed at the Public Works garage located on Proctor Avenue.
If the Commission has any other suggestions or recommendations for improvements to
Hillside City Park, we will include those in the overall master plan.
