Some of the additions which will be in the brochure delivered June 5th are pee wee sports in the evening as well as safety related classes such as first aid, CPR, firearm safety and more. Last year had 71 classes offered in Elk River for the summer compared to over 100 this year. Many classes are full. Summer Staffing is almost complete. We have a couple of small openings yet to fill and I am hoping to have that done within the week. Emporium will have its last concert of the season on May 10`h. We will be doing some concerts on a smaller scale at the band shell and these begin the last weekend in May. Lions Park Center is continuing to be busy. We have reserved another 100 hours of use during the last month bringing the total hours reserved so far to over 500. We will be updating the policy for this as well as the park shelters for non-profit groups soon. I am open to any suggestions and will try to bring some possible policies to the meeting for your review. Field use is under way this season. The master schedule for all sports is complete. We held a coaches training last month for Girls Fastpitch Softball where we also scheduled their practices for the season. We also held a meeting for Baseball to schedule their practices and review our policies. The meeting was well attended and we are in the process of sending out confirmations to everyone. We continue to work on an updated field use policy and hope to have one for review in June or July. The concession stand at the Orono complex opened the last week in April. We have been very busy preparing for this and it's nice to finally be in business. We were open Monday- Wednesday the first week and will add Thursdays once Girls Fastpitch begins using the • complex for their games. I
