Discussion of request to hold a 5K Run/Walk in Woodland Trails
Approval by motion of 5K Run/Walk event at Woodland Trails with the following provisions:
• Park Rental fee be waived
• Damage deposit of$100
• Group will pay cost of extra items such as portable toilets, trash pick up
• No marking of any kind allowed on the trail system (cones may be used)
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
• The Elk River Dance Team Booster Club has requested the use of Lions Park in order to host a 5K
Run/Walk School on September 27,2014 from 9:00— 11:30 a.m.
• They expect approximately 50 - 200 participants to participate in the event
• This event is intended to raise funds for programs that support orphaned children in Haiti.
• This is a first year event.
