SUBJECT: Planning Retreat Review— Regional Park Coalition
Workplan
Request
The Commission is asked to consider the workplan for establishing a Regional
Park Coalition.
Analysis
• In December, letters were mailed to surrounding communities, counties, and
townships' park boards to inquire as to their interest in creating a regional park
coalition. To date, two responses have been received.
Staff proposes the following workplan:
April — Informational kickoff meeting with interested commissions (if any).
May— Identify common goals.
June— Identify planning components/future workplan items/schedule.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the Commission provide direction regarding this
workplan.
