SUBJECT: Approve 2001 Budget
At the January 6, 2001 retreat, the Park and Recreation Commission considered
the attached 2001 budget. Based on preliminary estimates for the playground
addition to Barrington Place Park and the new playground proposed for
Riverplace, we have increased the budget for both those improvements slightly.
Staff is still working with the architect on an improvement and phasing plan for
the Devine barn. In 2001, a new roof will be required and the lower level is
• planned to be completed. Included in the completion of the lower level will be a
bathroom, concrete floor and interior lighting. The budget for the Devine barn will
be presented to the Commission at a future meeting.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the Park and Recreation Commission recommend that
the City Council approval of the 2001 budget with amendments to be determined
later for the Devine barn improvements.
