The Mayor and City Council directed me to respond to your concerns and issues regarding the park in your neighborhood. • The City is currently working with a developer to develop the portion of land directly east of Menards. This is called Hillside 8th Addition. We have included in that development a proposed park. Please see the attached plan. This proposed plan would include a basketball court, a tennis court, a playground structure, a sliding hill and open area for kids to play kick ball or baseball, if they so choose. The City also has an area in Hillside 5th in which a park could be developed. Please refer to the second attached map. These two areas will be connected with a bike trail for kids to ride their bikes to the parks. I appreciate your interest in your community and your letter will be forwarded and included as part of the continued discussions regarding Hillside 8th.
