Adopt,by motion, the attached resolution acknowledging the $4,317.28 contributed to the Police
Department from various groups and organizations.
Background/Discussion
From January 1,2014, through June 30, 2014, the Police Department has received eight donations from
groups and organizations. The intent of the donations is listed on the attached spreadsheet.
Contributions shall be approved for acceptance and resolutions adopted by at least a four-fifths vote.
Financial Impact
The City of Elk River has received $4,317.28 in donations.

Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
Resolution 14-
A Resolution of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community;and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received donations in the year 2014 (January through
June) from various individuals and organizations as itemized on Exhibit A, attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council,by at least four-fifths
vote,to acknowledge the support and commend these individuals and organizations for their
donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
, and upon vote being taken thereon,the following voted in favor thereof.
