Elk River MEMORANDUM TO: Park and Recreation Commission FROM: Michele McPhersoector of Planning DATE: August 8, 2001 SUBJECT: Case No. P 01-12 Preliminary Plat of Sunny Acres— Park Dedication Request The Commission is asked to recommend park dedication for an industrial plat of two lots. • Attachments • Location Map • Excerpt from Master Park Plan • Preliminary Plat Analysis The subject property is located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Highway 10 and 165th Avenue NW. Located east of the subject property is the RDF Plant,located south of the property is land owned by Cargill. Located approximately 1 mile to the east is the Youth Athletic Complex. The subject property is 5.47 acres in area and is proposed to be split into a 4.58 and a.89- acre parcel. The Master Park Plan does not indicate any parks in this vicinity;therefore, staff would recommend that park dedication be paid for the entire parcel at $10,940.
