John Kuester, Park and Recreation Commission Chair, hereby request a special
meeting of the Elk River Park and Recreation Commission on Wednesday, October
10, 2001 at 5:00 p.m. at the Elk River City Hall, Elk River, Minnesota.
The purpose of the meeting is to conduct a mobile tour of city parks.
In accordance with State Statute, I hereby request the city clerk to post this notice at
least three days prior to the meeting date. I further request the city clerk to notify each
member of the Park and Recreation Commission of this special meeting, in writing, at
least one day before the meeting.

SUBJECT: Fall Park Tour
Please remember that the fall park tour will begin at 5:00 p.m.on October 10th. Please meet
at City Hall by 5:00 p.m. Staff has reserved a bus for the tour and will also provide box
lunches. You may want to bring your own beverage or purchase one from the vending
machine at City Hall. If you are unable to attend the park tour,please feel free to contact me

ubject: Eagle Project Presentation
Michelle,Art Volna and Eric Johnson would like to present a plan for a Boy
Scout Eagle project to the parks board next Wednesday (October 10th). They have
spoken with Dave Anderson and are proposing to build a new grilling area and
storage building at the softball complex. Dave has given them direction on what
he would like to see built, and we are meeting with him again this evening to
finalize our plans. The boys will have some drawings to present alnong with a
plan for funding this project. If you have any questions please feel free to
