SUBJECT: Update: Bailey's Point
Per the Commission's direction at the December meeting, I spoke with the City
Administrator regarding the proper procedure for approaching Mr. Bailey regarding the
possible acquisition of his property adjacent to the confluence of the Elk and Mississippi
Rivers.
The first step is to obtain the concurrence of one or several Councilmembers to
approach Mr. Bailey. Mr. Klaers suggested that this item be discussed as part of a joint
Commission and Council meeting. The Commissioners could; of course, contact the
Council on their own as well if it is felt that time is of the essence.
IliStaff will keep this on the Commission's workplan for a future meeting with the Council.
