SUBJECT: Informational/Update Items for January 12,
2000 Meeting
A. Land Use Cases
1. Park in Trott Brook Farms
Work has shut down in Trott Brook Farms for the winter. At the February meeting,
we will review the concept plan for the park and determine what should be bid out
for spring construction.
• 2. Status of Charest Mississippi Parcel
There has been no change in the status of this item since the December meeting.
B. Park/Trail Developments
1. Andover Snowmobile Regulations
Per the Commission's direction at their December meeting, I contacted Richard
Fursman, City Manager for Andover regarding the new snowmobile regulations for
that City. The regulations ban snowmobiles on all City streets, and on property
south of County Road 20 except for private property and lakes. This essentially
bans snowmobiles in the south half of the City of Andover.
2. Woodland Trails Park Woodpile
Please refer to the attached letter from Steve Wensman.
3. Community Recreation
Please refer to the attached memo for information.
4. Recreation Briefs
There were no recreation briefs in the Elk River Star News in the last month.
