SUBJECT: Update: Devine Barn
Staff was contacted by Tammy Devine regarding the possibility of the City acquiring the
barn located on their property. We are welcome to inspect the barn provided we
schedule a time prior to arriving. Tuesdays through Fridays are acceptable days to visit
during the week.
It appears that they have another bidder that is willing to pay for the barn. Staff has the
following questions:
1. Is the Commission willing to bid for the barn against another bidder, or should
another shelter design be explored? The City would also need to pay for
• moving fees and construction of a foundation.
2. Are their any Commissioners interested in inspecting the barn with staff? If
so, a time during the week of February 14, 2000 would be scheduled.
Please provide further direction to staff regarding this issue.
