2000 Meeting
A. Land Use Cases
1. Park in Trout Brook Farms
Please refer to the attached memo from Steve Wensman for the dimensions of the
amenities in Trout Brook Park as requested in February by Commissioner Reitsma.
2. Status of Charest Mississippi Parcel
Please refer to the attached memo from Steve Rohlf for the results of the Charest
case. In summary, the City prevailed against Mr. Charest.
3. Preliminary Plat: Norwood Addition
This is a 4 for 40 subdivision in which three new lots will be created. Cash will be
collected for park dedication ($4200).
4. Preliminary Plat: K & L Addition
This is a 20-lot subdivision of all parcels located in the northeast corner of the
intersection of Highway 10 and 173rd Avenue. Cash will be collected for park
dedication ($82,230).
5. Administrative Subdivisions: Lang & Hinkle
a. Dale Lang is proposing a two-lot administrative subdivision on 209th Avenue.
Cash will be collected for park dedication ($1400).
b. Dick Hinkle is proposing a two-lot administrative subdivision on Meadowvale
Road. Cash will be collected for park dedication ($1400).

2. Public Information— February Current Article
Attached is the article that was written for the February newsletter. As you can see,
it discusses the Commission's 2000 goals and proposed budget expenditures.
3. Grant Info: Wal-Mart Funds Park Improvements
Attached is an article detailing Wal-Mart's contribution to park development in
Brooklyn Park. We will have to take advantage of their generosity in the future.
4. Recreation Briefs
There were no recreation briefs in the Elk River Star News in the last month.
