2. Removal of undesirable woody vegetation

PRAIRIE RESTORATION-RR GRADE
Co. Rd. 1 to Waterworks
RESTORATION SCHEME (No current projects planned)
1. Burn site to be restored
2. Kill undesirable plants with herbicide (timing is important)
3. Select prairie type (short or tall)
4. Plant grasses and some flowers
5. Enhance site with flowers as needed
Work with Boy Scout and Eagle Scout candidates on project including seed collection to
reduce costs.

-Grass seed mix 1/3 short prairie mix 6 lbs. x $17.25 = $121
2/3 medium prairie mix 14 lbs. x $15.00 = $210
Total 20 lbs. _ $331
I recommend that the City and Golf Course split seed costs.
Wild flowers can be planted if the commission desires at a cost of$300+.
Fabric for tee box and berm to improve germination and prevent erosion.
9000 ft2 @ $40.00 per 1000 ft2 = $360.00
