1k River MEMORANDUM
TO: Park and Recreation Commission
FROM: Michele McPherso,'Director of Planning
DATE: August 9, 2000
SUBJECT: Draft 10-Year CIP Budget
This item is provided to the Commission for information only at this time, and not
for discussion purposes. Attached please find a preliminary draft of the capital
improvement plan for the years 2000 through 2010. Please be aware of the
following:
1. The budget does not include line items for land acquisition.
2. The budget does not reflect revenues. It assumes a beginning balance of
$783,231.37, the available balance as of June 30, 2000.
3. The budget reflects items identified by the Commission as it reviewed
individual parks and prioritized activities for development.
Staff would welcome any preliminary comments or changes to the draft capital
improvement program. It is staffs intent that this item would be more fully
discussed at the January retreat, however, as it is a large budget, staff felt it was
appropriate to allow the Commission adequate time for input and discussion prior
to the January meeting.
