Dear Park and Recreation Commission Members:
The Elk River Park and Recreation Commission has been approached by an Elk
River resident in regards to forming a Regional Park Coalition. The purpose of
this coalition would be to identify park needs, such as regional parks and trail
corridors)and to locate and acquire funding for such facilities. The coalition
would also be responsible for identifying shared and individual maintenance
responsibilities. The Commission would like to invite you to a preliminary
• meeting to further explore this concept and to identify interest in the region.
