In addition to providing land for future recreational opportunities, the Commission hopes to preserve properties with unique ecological, biological, and physical characteristics within the City. Through its analysis, your property was one of several pieces within the City identified as having unique characteristics that could contribute to the future quality of life for the citizens of Elk River. We write this letter to you in order to begin discussions to determine if you are interested in working voluntarily and cooperatively with the City to preserve your land for use by future residents of the City of Elk River. Shortly after you receive this letter, you will be contacted by me or a member of the Park and Recreation Commission. You may choose, however, to contact us to either encourage us or to indicate your desire not to pursue continued conversations regarding this issue. If you wish to contact me, please feel free to call 441-4902.
