The property is located at the end of the cul-de-sac of Island View Drive. This area is within the urban service district; however, at present there is no service available. There are no existing park and recreation land in this area. The Master Park and Recreation Plan identifies a need for a neighborhood park to be dedicated. The Master Park and Recreation Plan does not identify any trail corridors in this area, however, the Commission may want to consider the need for pedestrian connections between 189th Avenue and Island View • Drive. In 1996, the Commission reviewed proposed Island View Fourth Addition plat and recommended that one of the lots on Lake Orono (lot 7) be given to satisfy park dedication (See attached August 7, 1996, Park and Recreation Commission Minutes). Island View Fourth was withdrawn and no park land was ever established. Recommendation Staff asks the Park and Recreation Commission to make a recommendation for the park dedication requirements for the preliminary plat of Island View Fifth Addition. PSA Number 7 is bordered by County Road 35 on the north and Lake Orono on the south. EXISTING PARK AND RECREATION LAND. None. SERVICE SUMMARY. The neighborhood park needs of PSA Number 7 need to be met by the dedication of a future neighborhood park. PARK SERVICE AREA NUMBER 8 DESCRIPTION: PSA Number 8 is currently mostly undeveloped but is starting to develop with urbanized lots. The area is defined by the limits of the urban service area of the city on the west and north, County Road 1 on the east, and the Burlington Northern Railroad tracks on the south. EXISTING PARK AND RECREATION LAND. Map Key 11 - Meadowvale Heights Park - This park is currently undeveloped.
