Councilmember Wilson introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
Resolution 14- 44
A Resolution of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community;and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $20,000 donation as listed on Exhibit A with
the intent it be used by the Parks and Recreation Department for improvements to Bailey
Point Nature Preserve.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council,by at least four-fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend these citizens for their donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
Westward , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Mayor Dietz, Couneilmembers Wilson, Burandt, Westga,ard, and Motin
and the following against: None ,whereupon said
resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
The following members were present: Mayor Dietz,_ Councilmembers Wilson,
Burandt, Westward, and Motin
and the following absent: None
Passed and adopted this 18`s day of August 2014.
