Background/Discussion
Recent national media attention involving rail transportation has generated discussion at a local, state, and
federal level about the capabilities of local responders to handle a large-scale incident involving hazardous
train cargo.
Chief Cunningham, city emergency management director,will provide an update on the city's continuous
effort in all-hazard response preparation and will be available to answer questions.
This item was rescheduled from the August 18, 2014, meeting as Chief Cunningham was unable to
attend.
