SUBJECT: Volunteer Picnic
We have identified the following in regards to the volunteer picnic:
Location: Orono Park Shelters
Date: September 16, 1999
Time: 5:00 p.m. to sunset, with dinner being served between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30
p.m.
Invitees: See attached list. Those organizations with an (*) beside them will be
invited. Please review the list and determine if there are organizations
that need to be added. One that comes to mind is the Biathalon group.
• Fun: We will provide volleyball nets/balls and other outdoor game equipment
for use by those in attendance.
We will need "volunteers" for the following items:
1. Bringing a grill and charcoal
2. Cooking
3. Picking up food and pop/water/lemonade. We have identified a menu of
hamburgers/brats, chips, cookies or ice cream, and possibly salads of some sort if it
is not too hot. Or, we can bring coolers with ice to keep food cool.
4. Getting games started.
Invitations will be mailed by August 13, 1999, with an RSVP date of September 10,
1999. Planning Department staff will receive and track the RSVPs.
