SUBJECT: Golf Course Construction Update
Site Improvements
The Golf Course has started construction on the site improvements for the new
maintenance facility. On Tuesday, August 24, 1999, Terry Maurer and I inspected the
site. Preliminary grading had been completed, including the entrance road from the
Woodland Trail Park entry road. Based on visual observation, it appeared that the
grading, for the most part, was according to plan. It did appear that more fill than was
originally indicated was brought in for the building site itself. Some minor trespass of
vehicles onto park property also did occur in areas proposed to have berms. One
outstanding issue is the location of the septic system. The plan indicated that the septic
• was to be located off of the southwest corner of the building, however, there is no room
in the field to located the septic in that location.
Legal Documents
We, as well as golf course representatives, are still waiting for the City Attorney to
complete the legal documents. The bank is not releasing the construction funds until
the legal documents are in place. We will forward a copy of the documents to the
Commission when they are available.
We will continue to monitor the construction progress of the maintenance building as
approved by the Council.
