SUBJECT: Country Crossing Park Memorial
Overview
The Streets and Parks Department has been interested in constructing a Memorial
for the City worker that died last summer while trimming trees in the Country
Crossings Park. Staff has worked with the Buildings and Streets Department to
develop a concept for a Memorial that would "fit" into the overall Concept Plan for
the park. As requested by the Park and Recreation Commission, staff met with Mrs.

Kinnunen to show her the Memorial concept for her approval. Mrs. Kinnunen,
approves of both the concept for the Memorial and the wording for the plaque
proposed by the Streets and Parks Department.

Recommendation
Staff requests that the Park and Recreation review the wording for the Memorial
Plaque and that they approve the overall concept for the Country Crossing Park
Memorial.
