SUBJECT: 2000 Planning Retreat Agenda
The half-day planning retreat for the Commission has been set for January 8, 2000
from 8:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m. We will be meeting at Country Suites as LaRosa's does
not open until 11:00 a.m. and they were unwilling to make other arrangements.
The following is a proposed list of agenda items. Please review it and make
suggestions for additions/deletions.
1. 2000 Goals —what do we want to accomplish?
2. Discuss process for Master Park Plan Review (please bring your plans)
3. Development of a 5-year Capital Improvements Plan and Budget
410 4. Discuss Commission's Role in Programming
5. Discuss Policies/Procedures for Non-Staff Agenda Items and Volunteer
Projects
6. Discuss Community Involvement and the Creation of Partnerships
The election of officers will be scheduled at the regular business meeting in March after
the next set of terms begins (current terms expire February 29, 2000).
Staff will prepare preliminary information on the above items prior to the retreat
meeting. Please let us know if there is any information that you would like us to
provide.
