1999 Meeting
A. Land Use Cases
1. Park in Trott Brook Farms
Work has shut down in Trott Brook Farms for the winter. At the February meeting,
we will review the concept plan for the park and determine what should be bid out
for spring construction.
2. Status of Charest Mississippi Parcel
IDThe City process p is in the rocess of ursuing p rosecution of Mr. Charest under the nuisance
code. The defendant requested a jury trial that will not occur until February or
March 2000.
An appraisal has been ordered to determine the value of the land for condemnation
purposes.
We will continue to update the Commission as information becomes available.
(No change from November meeting).
B. Park/Trail Developments
1. Park Usage Fee Survey by City of Anoka
We participated in the City of Anoka's park usage fee survey earlier this fall.
Attached are the results of their survey.
2. Community Recreation
Attached please find the information regarding Community Recreation from their
4 November board meeting. They are now in their new home at Emporium. Everyone
is invited to their Open House on December 15, 1999.

3. Recreation Briefs
4110 There were no recreation briefs in the Elk River Star News in the last month,
however, there was a letter to the editor regarding "slam dancing" at Emporium.
