8.1 Discuss FAST Study Rezoning
Mr. Barnhart reviewed the spreadsheet distributed to the Planning Commission regarding
land use designations/districts proposed for the FAST Study area. He asked that the
Planning Commission consider appropriate uses, design criteria and setbacks for each of the
proposed districts. Mr. Barnhart stated that they will discuss this issue at their September 9th
workshop meeting.
Discussion followed regarding the former Saxon Motors site and the current Cornerstone
Auto site and what impacts the implementation of the plan will have on these properties.
9. Adjournment
There being no further business, Commissioner Jeremy Johnson moved to adjourn the
meeting to the Upper Town Conference Room (7:10 p.m.)
8.2 Discuss Gravel Mining
Planning Commissioners attended the Gravel mining open house, and heard comments
from participants regarding likes, dislikes, and goals of the area. No action was taken.
The worksession meeting of the Elk River Planning Commission adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
