Overview
The applicant is requesting a general planning permit for a 3 day tent revival meeting.
The proposed site is the old Morrell Trucking site at the comer of Jackson Avenue and
School Street. There will a 40 foot wide temporary hexagonal tent located on the site as well
as porta potties. They are expecting about 200 people over the 3 days from 6 p.m. Friday,
May 7* to 8 a.m. Sunday, May 9~. Attendees will park in the Rivers Christian Academy
parking lot.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the City Council approve Alliance Church's request for a general
planning permit to allow a tent revival meeting the following conditions:
1. THE APPLICANT WORK WITH THE FIRE CHIEF REGARDING
COMPLIANCE WITH ALL FIRE CODE AND SAFETY ISSUES.
