Background/Discussion
The deadline for submittal of proposals for the "Powered by Nature" Public Art Installation initiative was
November 6, 2014. By that date, the EDA received eight renderings, mock-ups or proposals out of 22
registrations. Some artists were not able to submit their proposals by the allocated timeframe or choose
not to.
The next step in the proposal process is for the judging panel to schedule a meeting with the artists,who
will formally present their proposals to the panel. The panel will then make a recommendation to the
EDA, and the EDA to the Council for the final decision.
