Approve,by motion,the hiring of Brandon Wisner for the position of stormwater coordinator.
Background/Discussion
In October,the city went to market to fill the stormwater coordinator position. Staff interviewed three
candidates for this position and recommend the hiring of Brandon Wisner. Mr. Wisner has been working
for the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District for the past four years as a compliance officer and district
technician. We are excited about the skills and experience that Mr.Wisner will bring to our program. He
has worked closely with the MPCA and other regulating agencies on many different stormwater
compliance issues.
Mr. Wisner will start at step A of pay grade 7. He will be eligible for any 2015 cost of living increase and,
with satisfactory performance,will be eligible for a step increase on July 1, 2015. Mr. Wisner will begin
work the last week of December.
Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.
