This report is a monthly highlight of our Department's activities informing the Commission on
items related to collaborations, strategic planning, staff changes/ development,and park operations
Houlton Farm Property Acquisition
The closing for the Houlton farm property is scheduled for Tuesday,December 16. The only plans
that staff has for this property once the city takes ownership this winter is to install a locked gate at
the main street entrance. Staff is still working on the formation of the Planning Committee. The
first meeting is not expected until late January.
Outdoor Ice Rinks
The original plan is to open the outdoor rinks by December 19. With the pending warmer weather
in the forecast, this could be delayed until late December to early January.
