Staff is also requesting a contingency of$5,500 be held to cover any unforeseen costs that might arise that was not provided for in the invitation to bid. The bidder has provided a 10% bid bond. The department anticipates an additional 10 useful years of the ladder truck due to this refurbishment and continued regular maintenance.
