Adopt,by motion, the attached resolution acknowledging the contributions of$12,500 to the Fire
Department from various groups and organizations.
Background/Discussion
From July 1, 2014, through December 10, 2014, the Fire Department has received three donations from
groups and organizations totaling$12,500. The intent of the donations is listed on the attached
spreadsheet.
Contributions shall be approved for acceptance and resolution adopted by at least a four-fifths vote.
The Elk River Lions Club has asked to make a formal presentation at a later date. Staff will schedule a
presentation on a mutually convenient date.
Financial Impact
The City of Elk River Fire Department has received$12,500 in donations.

Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
Resolution 14-
A Resolution of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community;and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received donations in the year 2014 (July through
December) from various individuals and organizations as itemized on Exhibit A, attached
hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council,by at least four-fifths
vote,to acknowledge the support and commend these individuals for their donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
and upon vote being taken thereon,the following voted in favor thereof-
and the following against: ,whereupon said
resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
