Staff Update
DISCUSSION:
• The Locating department had a total of 157 locate tickets in November; three of them
being emergency tickets, three cancellations, two meets, 121 normal tickets, and 28
updated tickets. Locate numbers are down from last month. When Richard is not locating
he is working on map book updates and the ArcView maps.
• In November, the Security Systems Department had a total of 81 phone contacts, five
systems quoted, three system sales made, five installs completed, 28 service calls and five
personal visits.
• Electric Technicians continue with the meter reading,power bill, substation checks,
hanging red-tags, meter read-outs and dealing with meter and off-peak issues. They
continue to change out the three phase meters to radio read meters and help with the
monthly engine runs. They are also re-programming three-phase meters in the field for
commercial and industrial loads.
• The power plant staff did the monthly engine run on November 18th, everything ran
smoothly. On November 26th, MMUA and the League of Minnesota Cities conducted the
annual audit of the generation plant and the Landfill Gas Plant.
• Staff continues to collect data with the GPS for our ArcView maps as time permits.
