Approve,by motion,the hiring of Tanner Anderson for the position of street maintenance operator II.
Background/Discussion
In October,we went to market to fill a vacant street maintenance operator II position. We received 42
applications and interviewed seven candidates. The interview panel recommends Tanner Anderson for
the position.
Mr. Anderson has been employed with the Anoka County Highway Department for the past seven years,
most recently in the position of crew leader. For the past 16 years he has also owned and operated a
construction and landscaping company.
Mr. Anderson will start at step A of pay grade 6. With satisfactory performance,he will be eligible for a
step increase after six months of employment. Mr.Anderson will begin work on January 20, 2015.
Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.
