Approve by motion the appointment of Pat Roles as the Kliever Marsh Park,Park Steward.
Background/Discussion
Park Stewards provide leadership overseeing volunteers and are a key element in the maintaining and
developing the Elk River park system. Park stewards also serve as the primary communication link
between staff and the many volunteers who spend thousands of hours annually in the parks on
maintenance and park improvements.
We currently have three official Parks Stewards with Sue Seeger at Hillside City Park,Dave Anderson at
Woodland Trails Park, and Eric Toth at Bailey Point Nature Preserve.
Staff is recommending Pat Roles as the Kliever Marsh Park Steward. Pat has done an excellent job
identifying and performing needed work in Kliever Marsh Park and supporting the parks crew.
