River
TO: Park and Recreation Commission
FROM: Phil Hals, Street/Park Superintendent
DATE: January 14, 1998
SUBJECT: Park of the Month
It has been suggested that the Park and Recreation Commission take
advantage of"light" agenda meetings to discuss park layout, designs, and
equipment for an undeveloped park. Commission members should bring a
list of parks they would like to start designing to the January 14 meeting. A
master list will be compiled and staff would then pick a "park of the month."
A scale site plan with topography would be furnished to the Commission so
they can give some thought to the needed facilities and equipment to
complete the park.
• Another interesting concept may be for the Park and Recreation Commission
to do a park design during the platting process; before any homes are built.
Please come prepared to discuss these concepts and remember to bring a list
of parks that you would like to see on the master list.
