Background/Discussion
With the recent unexpected vacancy of the Economic Development Director position, and the desire to
fill the position, staff has identified a number of options for the Council to consider.
1.Go back to the market to fill the position. Consider a regional or national search.
2.Re-evaluate the position and develop a mid-level management/technical position.
3.Consider the finalists from the original search that met the minimum Director-level
requirements.
