SUBJECT: Approve of Certificate of Correction - Elk River Crossing
2nd Addition Request
Schoell and Madsen request that the City Council approve a Surveyor's Certificate of
Correction for Elk River Crossing 2nd Addition.

Analysis
The surveyor who prepared the plat of Elk River Crossing 2nd Addition made an error in the
dimensional width of the easements along the common property line between Lots I and 2
of the plat. A Certificate of Correction will correct the dimensional width of the easements
on the plat and provide the easements as required by City ordinance. No lot lines are being
adjusted, therefore, no public hearing is required and the Council can approve the Certificate
of Correction by consent.
The City Engineer has reviewed and approved the Certificate of Correction as presented.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the City Council approve the Certificate of Correction and authorize
the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the Certificate.

Pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes Section 505.174, I, the undersigned,
Richard J. Williams, Jr., a Licensed Land Surveyor in and for the State of Minnesota,
License No. 19840, do hereby declare as follows:
That I prepared the plat of ELK RIVER CROSSING SECOND ADDITION,
City of Elk River, Sherburne County, Minnesota, which was recorded
September 7, 2000, as Document No. 420185 in the office of the County
Recorder in and for said Sherburne County.
I hereby certify that said plat is incorrect in that the dimensional width of
the easements along the common line between Lots 1 and 2, Block 1 in
said plat and the easement along the southerly line of said Lot 2 were not
shown.
I hereby certify that said plat is corrected in the following particulars, to
wit:

The easement width on the above easements along the common line
between Lots 1 and 2 in said plat are to be 10.00 feet in width on each
side of the common line and the easement along the southerly line of said
Lot 2 are to be 10.00 feet in width·
