6.2a. PLANNING COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS
Currently there are two terms expiring on this Commission; Louise Kuester
and Joseph Schuster. Both are requesting reappointment. Louise is not
scheduled for an interview. The Council recently requested the City

Clerk to ask Louise to consider reappointment despite the Planning
Commission policy that a commissioner should only serve two terms. As
Louise indicated she was interested, I am assuming that the Council will
automatically reappoint her.

Currently there are two terms expiring on this Commission; Lana Huberty
and Dana Anderson. Both are requesting reappointment.

Currently there are two terms expiring on this Board; Elly Kretsch and
Eleanor Holm, and one resignation; Linda Ritchie. Eleanor Holm is
requesting reappointment.

Appoint three people to serve on the Library Board for three year terms

6.2d. HRA APPOINTMENT
Currently there is one term expiring on this Board; Larry Toth. Larry has
requested to be reappointed. This is a Mayoral appointment.

ACTION REQUESTED:
Appoint one person to serve on the Housing and Redevelopment Authority for
a five year term beginning 1/1/1999 and expiring on 12/31/03.
6.2e. ICE ARENA COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS
Currently there are two terms expiring on this Commission; Dale Martin who
served as the Youth Hockey representative, and Thomas Kupka who served

as the public representative. Mr. Kupka has not responded to our telephone
calls, therefore, I am assuming that he is not interested in reappointment.
Dale Martin does not wish to be reappointed as the Youth Hockey
representative, however, he has indicated he is~ interested in being appointed
as the public representative, if Thomas Kupka is not interested.
Mr. Martin has informed me that the Youth Hockey will be discussing the
issue at its next meeting and will hopefully make a recommendation to the
Council very soon.

ACTION REQUESTED:
Appoint one person to serve on the Ice Arena Commission for a three year
term as the public representative beginning 1/1/1999 and expiring on
12/31/01.
