1. Call Meeting to Order
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof,the work session meeting of the Elk River
Parks and Recreation Commission was called to order at 6:35 p.m.by Chair
Anderson.
• 2. Capital Improvement Plan work session
Mr. Hecker shared the momentum projects and vision projects as outlined by the
consultant Hoisington Koegler Group Inc. (HKGi) regarding the Parks and
Recreation Master Plan.
Mr. Schreifels explained the projects listed on the Parks Improvement Fund budget
list.
Commission members discussed the 2015 Parks Improvement Fund line items and
prioritized projects.
The following line items were removed:
Court Resurfacing at 28,500
Bailey Pt Amenities at 25,000
Deerfield replacement at 85,000
Total of 138,500
The following items replaced what was removed:
Add$5000 for Houlton Property Restoration Management Plan for Friends of
Mississippi
Add$3000 to Park Property lines for a total of$6000
Add$6000 for a Park Forrest Management Plan for Woodland Trails Park,Hillside
City Park and possibly Orono Park

Add$25,000 for Buckthorn Removal III
Change Athletic Field Improvement from$30,000 to $100,000
Add$29,500 for Hillside Improvements (water)
3. Adjournment
There being no further business, Chair Anderson adjourned the work session
meeting of the Elk River Parks and Recreation Commission at 8:55 p.m.
