Adopt, by motion, an ordinance to amend the 2015 fee schedule.
Background /Discussion
At a previous meeting, the Council adopted new types of liquor licenses into city ordinance.
Recommended fees for the new licenses are shown in the ordinance. Per state law, fees can't be a revenue
source but rather should be based on our costs.
The water access charge and wire footage fees are set by Elk River Municipal Utilities and were
inadvertently missed in the fee update at the beginning of the year.

An Ordinance Amending the 2015 Master Fee Schedule to Include New Liquor
License Fees and Changes to Other Miscellaneous Fees, of the City of Elk River,
Minnesota, City Code
The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That the 2015 Master Fee Schedule, of the City of Elk River Code of Ordinances
shall be amended to add or change the following fees:
New Liquor Licenses
1. Small Brewer's Off -Sale (Growler sales by taprooms) - $200
2. Brewpub /Microbrewer Off -Sale (Growler sales by brewpubs) - $200
3. Cocktail Room - $225, plus initial background fee
Water Access Charge
$3,214.84 changed to $3,325.00 per WAC unit
Wire Footages
over 200' - $4.00 per foot
SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption and be published as provided by
law.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 17th day of February, 2015.
