SUBJECT: Elk River Archaeology Day
The city's Heritage Preservation Commission (HPC) in cooperation with the Sherbume
Count7 Historical Society will be hosting "Elk River Archaeology Day" as part of the
statewide Historic Preservation Week. An open house will be held at Lion's Park Center on
Saturday, May 8, from 9 a.m. until noon. There will be children's events, refreshments and
Dr. Richard Rathaus will be discussing the recent archaeological work in Elk River. People
will also be able to have artifacts they have found analyzed by Dr. Rothaus.
The HPC would like to personally invite the City Council to attend
this event.
