Adopt, by motion, the attached resolution acknowledging $254.08 contributed to the Police Department
from various groups and organizations.
Background/Discussion
From July 1, 2014, through December 31, 2014, the Police Department received three donations from
groups and organizations. The intent of the donations is listed on the attached spreadsheet.
Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 465.03, donations and contributions shall be approved for acceptance and
resolutions are required to be adopted by a 2/3 majority vote.
Financial Impact
The City of Elk River received $254.08 in donations.

adoption:

A Resolution of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions
WHEREAS,
the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS,
the City of Elk River received donations in the year 2014 (July through
December) from various individuals and organizations as itemized on Exhibit A, attached
hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
by the City Council, by at least four-fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend these individuals and organizations for their
donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
______________, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
