8. Proposed Picnic Shelter by Local Jaycees
The area Jaycees will be on hand to discuss their proposal to construct
a picnic shelter in Orono Park. The Jaycee representative questioned
such things as shelter design, location, construction scheduling, and
city assistance with funding.
• 9. Discussion of Available Park Funds
The present park dedication fund balance is $102,305 with $45,500 of
that amount committed as grant match for the Shiely park purchase,
leaving a balance of$56,805.
Other parks fund balances include:
Park Trail Reserve $19,400
Park Equipment Reserve $51,150
(less $10,500 for 1996 mower aerifier purchase)
10. Discussion of Cass Property Development
Attached you will find three scenarios for developing the northwest 25
acres of the Cass property plus two long range development scenarios
for the entire western section of the Cass property. The development
costs are for Plan "A". Other proposal costs will vary depending on the
number of fields, fencing, goals, etc.
