7. Update on Ski Trail/Softball Field Maintenance Machine
Dave Anderson will present some information regarding a recent demo
of a John Deere Gator. This is a 6 wheel vehicle (four wheel drive)
that was equipped with tracks for the ski trails. Look for a discussion
regarding a summer/winter multi use vehicle and how to fund it.
8. Cass Field Usage
• The Cass fields are scheduled for use in May, 1998. Please be
prepared to discuss scheduling for weekdays as well as weekends and
who should be involved in these discussions (youth sports, area rec,
adult sports, MSF, etc.). Because of the relatively long time frame,
this will be a discussion item for several meetings. Also, please give
some thought to a name for this complex (Cass Fields has been deemed
inappropriate).
9. Park Bond Issues
Dana Anderson will lead the discussion regarding the possibility of a
park bond issue, paying special attention to which items should be
included and which items should be excluded. The Commission will
have the December and January meetings for preparatory discussions
prior to a joint meeting with the City Council in February or March.
Come prepared for an initial discussion in December so that the
discussion can be finalized at the January meeting.
