Consideration of Library Board Appointment

There are two open seats on the Library Board. Jennifer Sharp did not ~vish to be
reappointed, leaving a vacancy for a term expiring 12/31/06. Wendy Borrett resigned from
the Library Board in February, leaving a vacancy for a term expiring 12/31/07.
The vacancies have been posted at City Hall, advertised in the Elk River Star News for two
weeks, and posted on the city's website for approximately three months. Staff has received
one application from Mike Hangaard.
ACTION REQUESTED
The Council may wish to make a motion to appoint Mr. Hangaard to the Library Board for a
term expiring either 12/31/06 or 12/31/07.
