Action Requested
Appoint, by motion, Garrett Christianson to the Planning Commission to fulfill an unexpired term until
February 28, 2017.
Background /Discussion
Thomas Petschl has moved out of Elk River and has submitted his resignation to the Planning
Commission effective immediately.
There is one Planning Commission application on file for Garrett Christianson. As the Council may
recall, Mr. Christianson was interviewed and appointed to the Energy City Commission at the February 2
Council meeting; however, he declined appointment due to a scheduling conflict with the Energy City
Commission meetings. The Planning Commission was Mr. Christianson's first choice.
The open position was advertised per Board /Commission policy and no new applications were
submitted.
